Character: Ethan Travers/FlickerFox
Canon: Original
Canon Point: Mid-storyline, settled comfortably into his job as a hacker.
CRAU, Canon AU: N/A
Character age: 19

Canon Abilities/Powers:
- Cyberhacking, specifically in his in-world Intranet system, is his greatest specialty. He can typically pick up the ins and outs of a system, provided there's some logical sense to it, in under a week. Obviously, actually mastering any system takes considerably longer.
- Tinkering with and building small machinery, especially computerised mechanical items. Ethan designed and built his entire Bubble HUD computer system from scratch, as well as most of the HUD systems for the company he works for.
- Generally, he's able to call forth his Avatar in a controlled VR location that's actually made for it. If the internet system, or a semi-reality space allows, through his EDLs, Ethan is capable of directly importing his Avatar into a pseudo-real/VR version of the internet. This allows him to actively search for data in a more physical way and to minimise harm on his otherwise fragile body.
To further explain, typically he employs his avatar in the VR space that is set up in his world's Intranet, where everything is laid out sort of like a virtual city, or even virtual worlds surrounding an individual set of data. This could potentially be used to go into spaces that don't force someone to have a "real" version of themselves, effectively acting as a ghost-like entity - able to interact with and manipulate things, but seeming sort of out of place and ethereal otherwise. Because he doesn't have the full support of his world's Intranet, he probably can't fully immerse himself into his Avatar here unless he does so physically, unless something changes. Regardless, any damage sustained while in this state is at a 1:10 scale on Ethan, and "death" of the Avatar effectively cuts the connection before too much serious harm is done.
- Ethan is versed in, but not strong at, avatar manifestation. He does have the strength of will and mental ability to manifest his avatar in the real world, at great detriment to himself. Any damage given to FlickerFox is reflected on a 1:6 scale on Ethan, and his awareness of his physical body shrinks to basic awareness of his life signals, due to most of his available focus being on the nanites and nanomachines that make up the manifestation.
- Programming in multiple programming languages, with a similar strength to his cyberhacking in learning new ones. Programming basically requires a logical mind, so he's virtually completely predisposed to learning it if he can find any kind of link.
- One could argue his recklessness is a skill of its own, because he doesn't stop to think beyond the question of "will this help someone learn something?" before jumping right in to doing it.
- He's also a musical composer, typically of works that remind him of someone. He has sound-based synesthesia and "hears" people's emotions and personalities as styles of music.

What is their greatest negative emotion towards an object, situation, or person in their past?: Ethan feels regret and hatred on almost even fields regarding his inability to save his sister from the machinations of the CEO of a large-scale company he was exposing the deceptions of. She was collateral damage in revenge for his actions as a hacker, and he'll forever feel the regret of not realising he was falling into a trap in the first place and getting her killed.

How strongly do they feel about the negative subject matter, on the scale of one to ten?: Ten, definitely. It's part of his driving force for basically everything he does, as well as the source of the feminine voice he uses - that program is made up from tones pulled from recordings of his sister's speech. As a result, he detests anyone or anything that turns out to be balefully deceptive, and is quick to anger in relation to them.

What is their greatest virtue?: Selflessness, because despite the fact that he considers himself to be a "bad guy" and someone who will have to be stopped eventually, he's also out there to prevent others from going through what he went through.

How aware are they of their virtue, on a scale from one to ten?: Honestly like a two at best. He pretty much thinks people see him as a crappy martyr. If you asked him, that's what he is at best, if not just someone who eventually needs to be stopped.

Items:
- His headphones, which were built as both listening devices for the real world and normal headphones. They're futuristic and have swipe-mechanics for things like volume control, and are emblazoned with a golden fox head on one earpiece. They're made out of a flexible, durable alloy created after the Calamity that renders them strong, but definitely not unbreakable.
- A single glove with a flat, circular inset on the back of the hand. This houses his Bubble HUD, which has numerous functionalities including a holo-keyboard, text-to-speech program, wireless net connection, infrared/movement sensor activation, general computing and hacking functions, a music composition program, and the internal data for the functionality and look of his Avatar.
- His usual clothes - basically just baggy teenage cyberpunk clothes.
- One month's worth of his medications, give or take.
- idk if it counts as an item, but his EDL implants are a thing. They're the implants that let him directly "jack in" to his avatar, as well as what allow it to fully manifest in the real world (as they're the source of the nanites/nanomachines that make up that manifestation), and he has a total of twelve. He only uses one, typically.

Samples: here for action and here for network.

Special notes: Ethan has aplastic anemia, which makes him susceptible to bruising, bone breaks, infections, etc. He takes a whole slew of medications for the disease, as well as needs transfusions occasionally to keep himself mostly healthy.
