WORLD INFO: Earth, circa 3414. A tragedy known as the Chaos Calamity happened in 2238.

• Solar power is common, almost all power grids operate on a combination of solar/water power with backup generators using sustainable fuels. Roads, paved trails, and often roofs are equipped with self-isolating panels that provide power in circuit.
  
• Most corporations operate under black-box and offline data backup registers; all non-copyright-able material must be filtered through the network at least once before being stored offline. Circumvention is cause for shutdown and investigation.
  
• A single network using "access points" exists, spread across the whole of the usable world so that anyone with a network ID (which is a requirement for citizenship of any kind and installed via a transmission chip at birth) can access it.
  
• Jails and other correctional facilities are operated in conjunction with built-in Faraday Cages, and their systems are completely separate from the normal network.
  
• Monotheism is the most prevailing religion, with Christianity at its fore. Other religions exist, and zealots are less frequent but also exist.
  
• Weather is as normal, roughly, for Earth. Weather is often harnessed for energy.
  
• Vehicles are all electric-fueled with battery backup.
  
• A number of various organisations exist.

TECH INFO:

• EDLs (EntraDermaLinks) are common; almost all adults have at least one. One is the most common number of installs, with two being second most common.
  
• The largest number of documented installs is four.
  
• With the exception of EDLs that only bolster physical abilities, any proper EDL install will allow a person to make and maintain an Avatar. For the most part, these are just like any avatar on any virtual game.
  
• Tech-savvy individuals can actually manifest their Avatars in the real world, as well as have the ability to synchronise/immerse with their Avatar to reduce lagtime in the digital world.
  
• Both EDLs and Avatars have a number of risks associated with their use, including diseases and conditions that may arise.

FLICKERFOX INFO:

• With the full designation "null sensation FlickerFox", Fox's personal avatar is a knight type Avatar that uses reflective, sound-affecting, and camouflaging equipment to operate and "disappear" from sight. His avatar is described as a pale-skinned female wearing a uniform and an oversized fox head, with "wings" (for lack of a better term) made up of multicoloured, shifting panels.
  
• Ethan himself has twelve EDLs on various parts of his body, though most of them are covered at all times. Those with body scanners will be able to note these as a whole. The metal, as with all EDLs, is non-magnetic and the machinery inside is unaffected by magnetism.
  
• Ethan suffers from two instances of Calamity Trigger and a mild case of Logic Amalgam, the latter causing him to have occasional difficulty understanding abstract concepts.
  
• Ethan sees people and emotions, as well as some abstract concepts, as musical references - most notably a type or genre of music, or occasionally a collection of different note types.
  
• Though he can speak aloud, he chooses not to. Most often, he uses a text-to-speech program he wrote that operates in tandem with his Bubble HUD.
  
• Ethan suffers from aplastic anemia, and as a result he looks as pale and frail as he is. Anyone with a body scan can definitely catch this weakness, and he's basically always got medication with him. As a result of his disease, he also keeps an impeccably clean home space.
